H.R. 748, now known as the CARES Act, is the stimulus package designed to aid in the long-lasting affects of COVID-19. Tribal nationals, organizations and advocates developed priorities for Congress to include in the package.
Brian Yazzie (AKA Yazzie the Chef) is a food activist from the Navajo Nation, and he's hoping to spread awareness about cooking with indigenous American ingredients. Yazzie is now partnering with a cafe to cook and deliver meals to Native elders during the COVID-19 pandemic.
